News

2010 Membership Meetings

CCGC Membership Meetings will be held from 11:30am to 1:30pm in the Founders Board Room at COPIC, located at 7351 Lowry Boulevard (the corner of 1st and Quebec), according to the dates listed below. When you arrive, please check-in at the front desk for security purposes.  Lunch will be provided.

Based on the response from our membership survey we sent out in late 2007, we have reduced the meeting schedule to 3 meetings with e-mailed updates inbetween meetings.

CCGC is still in need of lunch sponsors for the meetings. Please contact us at (720) 297-1681 if your organization is interested.  These sponsorships allow us to put more dollars toward our programs and mission. Lunch sponsors receive recognition at the meeting and on our website. Thanks so much for your consideration!

The state statutes creating the Commission on Family Medicine (COFM) in 1977 (25-1-901 through 25-1-904, CRS) call for all of Colorado’s family medicine residencies to voluntarily  work together with the citizens of the state to address issues in both family medicine training and Colorado’s health care.  A key focus of the Commission is to meet the need of rural and urban underserved communities for family physicians.  Nationally, the Commission is a unique organization.  In addition to the directors of the training programs, members of the Commission include Governor-appointed citizens from each of the State’s seven congressional districts as representatives of health care consumers, the Dean of the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and a representative of the Colorado Academy of Family Physicians.
